Organizational Culture Change

The next step for TTF recommendation 24, which outlines a need for a comprehensive approach to organizational culture change, is to complete an organizational culture assessment of our Service. This process begins with the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking a qualified vendor to complete the assessment.
The objective of the RFP is to engage our members and the public alike in a dialogue that is candid and transparent. The assessment process will be comprehensive and inclusive and will consider all the ways organizational culture is embedded within our Service. The results of the assessment will provide an in-depth understanding of the current organizational culture of the TPS including its strengths and any areas for improvement. This assessment will also provide assistance to leaders and key stakeholder groups in creating action plans to strengthen our organizational culture, improve organizational performance and achieve a modernized model of policing for the City of Toronto as described in the TTF Final Report, Action Plan: The Way Forward.
The successful vendor will be selected this month and their assessment activities commence this October. This will include a broad consultation with members using a variety of techniques. The final report will be received by the Service in March of 2018 and findings will be made publically available.
