On Friday, September 9th, 2005, police were called to 25 Bishop Tutu Boulevard, Toronto. In the fourth floor stairwell, they discovered the body of Imtiaz Khan, 27 years-of-age. He had been shot.
Investigation revealed that Khan had been attempting to support his family by drug dealing. He had arranged to meet two other dealers in an apartment in that building to buy drugs. Khan, in the company of a male acquaintance, attended the apartment. Inside, the two drug dealers that he had arranged to meet attempted to rob both men. During the subsequent struggle, both Khan and his acquaintance were shot, Khan fatally.
An autopsy showed Imtiaz Khan died from a gunshot wound to the neck.
Homicide investigators identified the two assailants as Jason David Browne and Neon Daneyon Jemmott, 27 years-of-age at the time of this crime.
Browne has been arrested; an arrest warrant was issued for Neon Daneyon Jemmott on a charge of murder.
