On Friday February 12th, 1999 at approximately 11:10 pm, a Communications Operator received an emergency 9-1-1 call to have police, ambulance and fire personnel attend the fourteenth floor of 10 San Romanoway.
Members of the Toronto Ambulance Service and the North York Fire Department, arrived first on scene. A male was located on the floor of the hallway with Vital Signs Absent. The victim was transported to hospital. The paramedics performed C.P.R. while enroute to the hospital.
Police from 31 Division Uniform Branch were the first officers to arrive on scene. The officers secured the crime scene and contacted the Criminal Investigative Branch of 31 Division.
Detectives from 31 Division Criminal Investigative Bureau were contacted and commenced the investigation.
At approximately 12:10 a.m. on Saturday February 13th, Mr. Davis was pronounced dead.
The Homicide Squad were notified, and took over the investigation.
On Saturday February 13th, 1999, a Post Mortem Examination of the deceased was conducted. The cause of death has been determined to be “MULTIPLE STAB WOUNDS”.
The investigation is continuing.
