On Saturday, July 11th, 1998, at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers from 31 Division were dispatched to 3210 Weston Road with regard to a male inside a vehicle who appeared to be unconscious.
Upon the arrival of the first officers, the deceased, Tyrone Curtis Donaldson was located in the driver’s seat of a Honda vehicle. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics and Toronto Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene and immediately commenced medical attention to Tyrone Donaldson. He was subsequently transported by Paramedics to hospital.
Detectives from 31 Division attended the scene and commenced investigations into the shooting.
Detectives from the Homicide Squad were notified and took charge of the murder investigation.
Detectives from Forensic Identification Services attended the scene and commenced examinations.
A male suspect was seen walking away from the driver’s side of the vehicle where Tyrone Donaldson was seated. The suspect was observed entering the passenger side of a parked black Honda vehicle which was parked a short distance away. This vehicle was then seen leaving the area in an unknown direction of travel.
Cause of death was determined to be GUNSHOT WOUNDS.
Investigations are continuing.
