Peter Anthony WALLACE 5/M Peter Wallace was 5 years old and diagnosed with Hirschsprungs Disease. The parents chose to ignore the advise of the Doctors. Utlimately, the boy died on February 17th, 1987.

Details of Investigation
On Tuesday, February 17th, 1987, at approximately 2:22 a.m., officers were dispatched to 2135A Lakeshore Boulevard West, Toronto regarding the collapse of a child. Upon their arrival, Peter Anthony Wallace, 5 years-of-age, was found unconscious. Emergency Medical Services transported the child to St. Joseph’s Health Centre, where, despite attempts to revive the child, he died at 4:10 a.m. An autopsy revealed the cause of death as Hirschsprung's Disease. Investigation revealed that the child had been suffering from this disease from May 29th, 1985 through February 17th, 1987. After consultation between the police and the Crown Attorney’s office, it was determined that sufficient evidence existed to charge the child’s father and his common-law wife with the manslaughter. The child’s father, Archie Wallace, alias Ephriam Wallace, was arrested. An arrest warrant was issued for Rosaleen Wallace, 31 years-of-age at the time of this crime, alias Rosemarie Fader or Joanne Demitro, on a charge of manslaughter.

Rosaleen WALLACE 31/F The deceased was Peter Wallace, a 5-year-old boy who had been suffering from Hirschsprung's Disease from birth. Investigation revealed that the condition had worsened in the previous two years eventually leading up to his death. He had been largely untreated for his condition by his parents who failed to seek proper medical assistance. The parents were both charged with manslaughter and the father, Archie Wallace was arrested and eventually spent four years in jail for the crime. Rosaleen had disappeared prior to the charges being laid and has not been found to date. Occurrence #21659/87 Date of birth: 1956/07/17 Ms. WALLACE was born in Nova Scotia. Her alias are Rosemarie FADER and Joanne DEMITRO.
