Human Resources & Performance Management contributes to the achievement of the Toronto Police Service's mandate and priorities by delivering an effective, efficient and economical support service to the Office of the Director of Human Resources.

Accordingly, in addition to compliance with the Police Services Act and Service Governance, HRPM is responsible for the following:

Manages the development, administration, maintenance and delivery of services provided by Human Resources, specifically pertaining to employee records, and legal indemnification.


Employee Records

Manages the administration of the Toronto Police Services corporate employee records, including the updating of personal information, the maintenance of performance appraisals/reviews, salary increments, police constable reclassification and confirmation of sergeant processes.


Legal Indemnification

Administers and processes all applications for legal indemnification, as provided for in the Service's Collective Agreements.


Human Resources & Performance Management is located on the 9th floor of the Toronto Police headquarters, at 40 College Street. The office hours of the unit are from 0730 – 1600, Monday through Friday.
