Police seek assistance with Angry Birds
Aggravated Assault investigation,
Queen Street West and Peter Street area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an Aggravated Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Sunday, October 30, 2016, at approximately 2:30 a.m. a 24-year-old man was in the Queen Street West and Peter Street area

- he was walking eastbound on Queen Street West with friends when they were approached by a man wearing an Angry Birds costume

- the 24-year-old man commented on the costume

- the man in the Angry Birds costume suddenly turned around and began to assault the 24-year-old man and knocked him to the ground

- the man in the Angry Birds costume continued to punch and kick the 24-year-old man while he was on the ground

- the 24-year-old man sustained serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries

The man in the Angry Birds costume is described as approximately 5'10" - 6'0".

A number of people were in the area at the time of the assault. Police would like to speak with anyone who has any information/video regarding this aggravated assault.
