Man, 31, charged in investigation into Assault on
Parking Enforcement Officer,
St. Mary Street and Yonge Street

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an investigation into an Assault on a Parking Enforcement Officer.

It is alleged that:

- on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 11:57 p.m., a Parking Enforcement Officer was conducting his duties in the St. Mary Street and Yonge Street area

- the officer was about to place a ticket on the windshield of a car parked illegally on St. Mary Street

- at this point, the male owner of the vehicle aggressively approached the officer and assaulted him

Li Nong, 31, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) Assault Peace Officer
