On Wednesday, February 15, 2017, Toronto Police Service Hold Up sought the public's assistance identifying a man involved in a bank robbery investigation.
On Friday, February 3, 2017, at 12:16 p.m., a man entered a bank inside the Jane Finch Mall.
It is alleged that:
- the man entered a bank and handed the teller a hold-up note

Information leading to his arrest was generated by a tip after suspect images were posted in a news release.
It is further alleged that:
- on Thursday, December 15, 2016, a man entered a Money Mart in the Tapscott Road and Neilson Road area
- he produced a note demanding a quantity of cash but he then fled without obtaining anything
On Wednesday, February 22, 2017, Hold Up arrested Kirk Stephenson, 25, of Toronto. He was charged with:
1) two counts of Robbery
He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, February 23, 2017, room 306.
