The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance locating a four-year-old girl.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, March 10, 2017, at 6 a.m., a girl was sitting in a car in front of her home in the Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue West area

On Friday, March 10, 2017, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the girl was located safe, inside the car which had been abandoned a short distance away.

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the Ontario Provincial Police, York Regional Police, Peel Regional Police, Halton Regional Police Service, Niagara Regional Police Service, Brantford Police Service, London Police Service, Windsor Police Service, Canada Border Services Agency, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the public, and especially the media and the passerby who found the girl.

The public safety portion of the investigation is now concluded. The criminal investigation is now ongoing.
