Arrest in stabbing investigation,
Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue West area,
Two youths arrested

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance with a stabbing investigation.

It was reported that:

- on Sunday, March 12, 2017, the victim, 18, was exiting a mall in the Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue West area when he was approached by four boys.

- one of the boys started a verbal confrontation with the victim which escalated into a physical altercation.

- during that physical altercation the victim suffered two stab wounds.

On Wednesday, March 15, 2017, a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy were arrested and charged.

The 17-year-old has been charged with:

1) Assault cause bodily harm
2) Assault with a weapon
3) Carry concealed weapon
4) Weapons dangerous

The 14-year-old has been charged with:

1) Carry concealed weapon
2) Weapons dangerous

They both were scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
