Murali Muthyalu, 37, charged with Witchcraft, Extortion and Fraud

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in an ongoing Fraud investigation.
It is alleged that:
- during February and March 2017, a man advertised his services as an astrologer and psychic
- a 44-year-old man attended his business for psychic services and was told a sick family member had been the victim of an evil spirit
- the man was charged $101,000 to remove this evil spirit
On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, Murali Muthyalu, 37, a visitor from India, was arrested. He is charged with:
1) Practise Witchcraft
2) Fraud Over $5,000
He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Thursday, March 30, 2017, 10 a.m., room 501.
The man allegedly used an alias of Master Raghav. Anyone having dealings with this man is requested to contact police.
