On Thursday, June 2, 2016, the Toronto Police Service requested assistance locating two men wanted in a shooting investigation.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating two men wanted in a shooting investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at approximately 9:15 a.m., two men attended 15 Pittsboro Drive, in the Finch Avenue West and Martin Grove Road area

- both men, armed with handguns, approached a man

- the first of the two armed suspects shot at the man, numerous times, at close range

- the second armed suspect also fired several shots at the man

- both suspects then fled the area

Police arrived shortly thereafter and found the man with several gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital, where he remains in critical, but stable, condition.

The first suspect has been identified as Shamaury White, 21, of Toronto.

He is currently wanted for:

1) Attempted Murder
2) Discharge Firearm with intent to wound and Endanger Life
3) Unauthorized possession of a Firearm
4) Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
5) Fail to Comply with Probation Order
6) Possession of a Firearm knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

He is described as 5'10", with braided black hair, brown eyes, and a thin build. He was wearing a blue, short-sleeved T-shirt with a collar, black-and-white running shoes, black jeans, and a black baseball cap.

The second suspect has not been identified. He is described as 20-30, with a large black afro, 5’10”-6’1”, with a thin build. He was wearing a white short-sleeve T-shirt, black thin-fitting, knee-length shorts with horizontal stripes along the exterior sides, dark running shoes, and black Raptors ball cap, with white logo on front.

Both men are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If you see either man, call 9-1-1 immediately.

The second suspect has since been identified as Ibrahim Abdikarim, 23, of Toronto. On Wednesday, March 8, 2017, he was arrested and charged with:

1) Attempted Murder
2) Discharge Firearm with intent to wound and Endanger Life
3) Unauthorized possession of a Firearm
4) Possession of a Firearm knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

Police continue to seek the public's assistance locating Shamaury White, now 22, who is to be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach. Call 9-1-1.
