Five men, one boy, arrested in series of robberies,
Face total of 53 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of six arrests connected with a series of robberies.

It is alleged that:

- between Monday, January 16, 2017, and Thursday, March 30, 2017, a group of males robbed an employment agency in the Steeles Avenue West/Jane Street area three times

- between Thursday, March 30, 2017, and Friday, March 31, 2017, a group of males robbed two convenience stores and a nail salon

- in each of the robberies, the males entered the stores armed with a gun, wearing hoodies and masks, demanding cash, then fleeing in a waiting car

On Friday, March 31, 2017, Said Said, 19, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) six counts of Robbery while armed with a Firearm
2) three counts of Disguise with Intent
3) six counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance
4) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On Friday, March 31, 2017, Amin Marzi, 24, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) four counts of Robbery while armed with a Firearm
2) four counts of Disguise with Intent
3) three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On Friday, March 31, 2017, a 15-year-old boy, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) two counts of Robbery while armed with a Firearm
2) two counts of Disguise with Intent
3) two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
4) two counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance

The 15-year-old cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

On Friday, March 31, 2017, Sameer Hirani, 22, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) three counts of Robbery while armed with a Firearm
2) three counts of Disguise with Intent
3) three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On Friday, March 31, 2017, Masoud Mahmoud, 20, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) two counts of Robbery while armed with a Firearm
2) two counts of Disguise with Intent
3) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

The were all scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, April 1, 2017.

On Tuesday, April 4, 2017, Jean Mede, 18, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) two counts of Robbery while armed with a Firearm
2) two counts of Disguise with Intent

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, April 6, 2017, 10 a.m., courtroom 306.
