Arrests in drug investigation,
Scarlett Road and Eglinton Avenue West area,
Man and woman face total of 26 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two arrests in a drug investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, members of Toronto Police Service 12 Division were involved in a drug investigation

- a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was conducted at an address in the Scarlett Road and Eglinton Avenue West area

- large quantities of various illicit drugs, a semi-automatic pistol, ammunition, and a substantial amount of money were seized

The substances seized included heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, hashish, marijuana, hashish oil, psilocybin and MDMA. Police estimate the street value to be approximately $1,000,000.

On Tuesday, May 23, 2017, Hoa Nguyen, 36, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) Possession of Firearm Obtained by Crime
2) Possession of Restricted Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence and Certificate
3) Possession of Firearm Knowing the Serial Number has Been Removed
4) Possession of Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
5) Possession of a Firearm knowing Its Possession is Unauthourized
6) Possession Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
7) Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
8) Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking
9) Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking
10) Possession of Hashish for the Purpose of Trafficking
11) Possession of Hashish Oil for the Purpose of Trafficking
12) Possession of Psilocybin for the Purpose of Trafficking
13) Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, room 103.

On Tuesday, May 23, 2017, Ho Nguyen, 35, of Toronto, was arrested. She has been charged with:

1) Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking
2) Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
3) Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
4) Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
5) Possession of Hashish for the Purpose of Trafficking
6) Traffic Cocaine
7) Traffic Marihuana
8) Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
9) Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking
10) Possession of Hashish for the Purpose of Trafficking
11) Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
12) Possession of MDMA for the Purpose of Trafficking
13) Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000

She was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, room 101.
