From Friday, July 14, 2017, to Sunday, July 16, 2017, the Honda Indy Toronto will take place. This event will feature numerous Indy Car Races, as well several other on-site attractions.
Road closures for this event will begin on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.
At 12 pm:
- southbound Strachan Avenue will be closed from Fleet Street to Lake Shore Boulevard West
At 8 pm:
- Lake Shore Boulevard West will be closed from Strachan Avenue to British Columbia Drive
These roads will remain closed all weekend. They are scheduled to be reopened on Sunday, July 16, 2017, by 11 pm.
Due to the extensive road closures, motorists can expect significant delays in the area and are strongly encouraged to plan alternate routes. Anyone attending the Honda Indy Toronto should take public transit. Both the TTC and GO Transit will provide increased service to Exhibition Place.
To ensure the safety of spectators and competitors, all persons are reminded that operating Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV /"drones") in and around Exhibition Place during Honda Indy Toronto weekend is strictly prohibited. Persons found operating a UAV in the area will be in direct violation of restricted airspace and will be subject to investigation and/or prosecution.
