Two women hit by projectiles

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two incidents that occurred in the Ionview Road and Eglinton Avenue East area.

It is reported that:

- on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., a 43-year-old woman was waiting for a TTC bus

- she was struck by an unknown projectile, from an unknown direction

- she received non-life-threatening injuries

It is further reported that:

- on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., a 22-year-old woman was waiting for a TTC bus

- she was struck by an unknown projectile, from an unknown direction

- the projectile pierced her skin and she was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries
