Man, 36, charged in investigation into
threats against Parking Enforcement Officer,
Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue East area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an investigation into threats made to a Parking Enforcement Officer.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 7:10 a.m., a Parking Enforcement Officer was patrolling rush-hour routes in the Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue East area

- a man, 26, parking in a no-stopping area, refused to move his vehicle and threatened to kill the officer when a ticket was issued

On Sunday, July 23, 2017, at 11 a.m., Farshad Mahdavi Damghani, 36, of Barrie, was arrested and has been charged with:

1) Threaten death

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, August 24, 2017, room 306.
