Man, 39, charged in investigation into assault on
Parking Enforcement Officer,
Erskine Avenue and Mount Pleasant Road area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an investigation into an assault on a Parking Enforcement Officer.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 11:55 a.m., a Parking Enforcement Officer was issuing parking tickets in the Erskine Avenue and Mount Pleasant Road area.

- a man, 39, became very aggressive, verbally and physically, with the Parking Enforcement Officer

- while the Parking Enforcement Officer was being assaulted, a man came to assist

- the man who assisted was then assaulted, but was able to free the Parking Enforcement Officer from the man

- police arrived and the man was arrested

On Thursday, September 7, 2017, Sergio Neto, 39, of York Region, was arrested.
He is charged with:

1) Assault Bodily harm
2) Assault Peace officer
3) Assault with intent to resist
4) Threaten death
5) Assault with intent to resist

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Friday, September 8, 2017, 10 a.m.
