Raise awareness about fraud targeting seniors

Fraud targeting seniors can occur in numerous ways, including misuse of a power of attorney, misuse of credit or debit cards, involuntary loans and others.
On Tuesday, October 3, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the McGregor Park Community Centre, 2231 Lawrence Avenue East, officers from Toronto Police Service’s 41 Division Crime Prevention Unit, in partnership with Whaley Estate Litigation Partners, is taking a pro-active approach to help prevent and reduce these occurrences.
Experts from WEL Partners will discuss decisional capacity as it relates to financial abuse, powers of attorney, guardianship, wills, and estate planning.
