The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of a man who has escaped from custody.

Ijahim Peter, 31, was last seen on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at approximately 10 a.m., in the Queen Street West and Shaw Street area.

He is described as 5'10", muscular build, black hair, brown eyes. There is no clothing description at this time.

He had been ordered into the custody of a medical facility and was supposed to remain there.

He is known to be violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach him. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

His photograph is now released.

Police are concerned for his safety as well as the safety of the public.
