Assistance sought with Arson investigation,
Donway West neighbourhood

The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance with an Arson investigation in the Donway West neighbourhood.

It is reported that:

- on Friday, October 6, 2017, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Toronto Fire Services and the Toronto Police Service were notified of a fire on the grounds of Norman Ingram Public School at 50 Duncairn Road, northwest of the intersection of Don Mills Road and Lawrence Avenue East

Emergency responders found the play structure at the rear of the school on fire, resulting in its destruction.

The area is sparsely travelled by pedestrians and traffic at that hour. Anyone in the area who may have seen or heard suspicious activity between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. is asked to contact police. Any residents in the area with security camera are asked to review their recordings during the above time period for suspicious activity or vehicles.
