The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of a man who has escaped from custody.

Ijahim Peter, 31, was last seen on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at approximately 10 a.m., in the Queen Street West and Shaw Street area.

He is described as 5'10", muscular build, black hair, brown eyes.

His clothing description is a yellow shirt, light-green jacket, grey pants, grey shoes. He also has a scar on the top of his right forehead and a tattoo of "McLite" on the left side of his neck.

He is known to be violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach him. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

His photograph is now released.

Police are concerned for his safety as well as the safety of the public.
