Man charged in assault on Parking Enforcement Officer,
Carlston Henry, 32

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in an Assault on a Parking Enforcement Officer investigation.

On Friday, October 13, 2017, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a Parking Enforcement Officer was issuing parking tickets in the Spadina Avenue and Dundas Street West area.

It is alleged that:

- the officer left the area in her police car

- a man followed her in his vehicle

- he confronted her while she was in her car

- he poured ketchup on the officer

- he got into his car and fled driving on the sidewalk to get around traffic

- pedestrians were forced to move out of his way

On Wednesday, October 18, 2017, Carlston Henry, 32, of Welland, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) Assault
2) Dangerous Driving
3) Fail to Comply with Probation

He is scheduled to appear at Old City Hall Courts on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 11 a.m., in room 111.
