The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Monday, November 13, 2017, at approximately 8 p.m., in the Sheppard West subway station, a man approached a 32-year-old woman

On Sunday, November 19, 2017, police arrested a man based on tips provided from the public.

Majuran Mahalingam, 34, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Sexual Assault

He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Monday, November 20, 2017, 10 a.m., room 306.
