Man, 36, arrested in shooting investigation,
Faces seven charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a shooting investigation.

On Friday, October 20, 2017, at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting in the Melbourne Avenue and Elm Grove Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- a 35-year-old man became involved in an argument with another man

- the suspect produced a gun during the argument

- the 35-year-old man got into a car and drove away

- as he left, the suspect fired a shot into the car

On Friday, December 1, 2017, Cory Donald Flowers, 36, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Point A Firearm
2) Discharge Firearm with Intent to Wound
3) Careless Use of Firearm
4) Possession of Weapons Dangerous
5) Carry Concealed Weapon
6) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
7) Possess Firearm while Prohibited

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, December 2, 2017, 10 a.m., room 101.
