Police request assistance with stabbing investigation,
Queen Street West and Brookfield Street area

The Toronto Police Service requests assistance with a stabbing investigation.

On Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 2:38 a.m., officers responded to calls for multiple fights in the Queen Street West and Brookfield Street area.

It is reported that:

- an altercation broke out between two groups of patrons of a local bar

- knives were produced by a number of the combatants

- at least seven people were stabbed in the fights

- one person sustained life-threatening injuries

- he has since been treated and is recovering

Investigators believe there were many people who witnessed these fights. Anyone who may have witnessed these incidents, and has photos or videos, is urged to contact police.
