The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a missing man.

Umberto Ascenzi, 84, was last seen on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at 1 a.m., in the Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West area.

He is described as 5’4”, thin build, bald spot, white hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat with white lettering on the front (“Emco”). He was also wearing a black waist-length fall jacket, white-and-red running shoes. He speaks English with an Italian accent.

He has been diagnosed with dementia and may appear disoriented.

Police are concerned for his safety.
