Man, 48, charged in Sexual Assault investigation,
Jarvis Street and Queen Street East area

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

On Thursday, January 4, 2018, at approximately 7:30 a.m., officers responded to a call for an assault in the Jarvis Street and Queen Street East area.

It is alleged that:

- a 35-year-old woman entered a building

- she was met by a man

- he grabbed her and physically restrained her

- he attempted to sexually assault her

- she broke free and made good her escape

On Thursday, January 4, 2018, Marc Kaipio, 48, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Sexual Assault
2) Overcome Resistance by Choking

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Thursday, January 4, 2018, room 501.
