Police seek assistance with carjacking investigation,
Jane Street and Finch Avenue West area,
One man arrested,
Jeffrey MacInnis, 22, still outstanding, photograph released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance with a carjacking investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at approximately 5 p.m., a man was at Yorkgate Mall

- as the man began walking towards his vehicle, he started and unlocked it using a remote car starter

- at that moment, a man (suspect #1) attempted to enter the man's vehicle

- when the victim tried to prevent the man from doing so, he was assaulted by him (suspect #1)

- a second man (suspect #2) exited a nearby waiting vehicle and also assaulted the victim

- during the assault, the victim dropped his keys

- the second man (suspect #2) got the keys and was able to get into the driver's seat of the victim's vehicle and began to drive away

- the victim held on to the man (suspect #2), as well as the door handle, at which point the man (suspect #2) accelerated and drove off, dragging the man for several feet before he fell to the ground

- the first man (suspect #1) ran to the waiting vehicle and drove away at a high rate of speed

- both vehicles were last seen travelling southbound on Jane Street, south of Finch Avenue West


A third person was also seated in the nearby waiting vehicle, now a vehicle of interest, however that person's identity is not known. The vehicle is described as a light-coloured Chevy Cruz.

It is further alleged that:

- on Tuesday, January 3, 2018, police located and arrested a man (suspect #1)

Anatoli Boudianu, 25, of Brampton, has been charged with:

1) Robbery
2) Breach of Probation

It is further alleged that:

- the second man (suspect #2) has been identified as Jeffrey MacInnis, 22, of Brampton

He remains outstanding and is wanted for:

1) Robbery

He is described as 6', 190 lbs., short brown hair, green eyes. He has several distinctive tattoos:

- right hand: the word “MACINNIS”
- left arm: picture of a grenade with “905” and “416 BTOWN”
- left forearm: picture of playing cards, dice, grim reaper, skulls
- left hand: the word “LOYALTY”
- neck, right side: the word “SARAH”

He is also known by the alias “Jiffy Loc.” His photograph has been released.
