Marijuana dispensary search warrant executed,
Canna Club, 429 Wilson Avenue,
Three people arrested, facing total of six charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests in a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation.

On Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at 2:50 p.m., officers from 32/33 Division's Street Violence Task Force executed a search warrant at the Canna Club at 429 Wilson Avenue.

It is alleged that the following was seized during the execution of the search warrant:

- 1403.04 grams of leaf marihuana
- 301.8 grams of marihuana oil
- $1,330 (Canadian currency)

Gurnek Bassi, 23, of Brampton, was arrested and charged with:

1) Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
2) Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000


Jessica Paul, 20, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
2) Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000


Habte Sami, 35, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
2) Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

All three are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, February 22, 2018, 9 a.m., room 114.
