The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a man wanted in an Attempt Murder investigation.

On Saturday, January 27, 2018, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers began an investigation into an Assault in the Hanson Street and Coatsworth Crescent area.

It is alleged that:

- a 29-year-old man entered an apartment building

- he was set upon by four men and violently assaulted

- he was struck on the head with a hammer and rendered unconscious

- he was held for a period of time and continually assaulted

- he managed to make his escape and reported the incident to police

Lee Edward Steepe, 26, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1) Attempt Murder
2) Conspiracy to Commit Murder
3) Aggravated Assault
4) Throw Explosive Intended to Cause Bodily Harm
5) Robbery with Offensive Weapon
6) Utter Death Threats
7) Forcible Confinement

His photograph is released.

He is believed to be armed, violent and extremely dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Three other suspects remain outstanding.
