Police request assistance with Assault with Weapon investigation,
Bathurst Street and Lawrence Avenue West area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance with an Assault with a Weapon investigation.

On Thursday, March 1, 2018, at approximately 5 a.m., officers responded to a call for a stabbing in the Bathurst Street and Lawrence Avenue West area.

It is reported that:

- a 57-year-old man was walking

- he was approached by a man who produced a machete

- the suspect slashed the 57-year-old man

The suspect is described as white, late teens to early 20s, stocky build. He was wearing a black hooded sweater with a white logo/print on the front.
