16 and 15-year-old males arrested in firearm investigation,
St. Andrew Street and Kensington Avenue area,
12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun and a Dan Wesson Airsoft, 2.5 calibre revolver recovered

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in a firearm investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Monday, March 26th, 2018, at approximately 1:25 p.m., two security officers were on patrol in the St. Andrew Street and Kensington Avenue area

- while in the stairwell of the garage, the security officers observed the two males smoking marijuana

- the security officers approached to investigate at which point the two males fled the scene. After a brief foot pursuit the males were stopped by the security officers

It is further alleged that:

- one of the males, was in possession of a ski-mask, a 12-gauge Browning semi-automatic shotgun with it's barrel and butt-stock cut down and two rounds of ammunition

- the other male, was in possession of a ski-mask, a Dan Wesson Airsoft, 2.5 calibre revolver, and a quantity of marijuana.

Police were contacted and immediately attended, both males were arrested


A 16-year-old boy, of Toronto, was charged with:

1) Engage in prohibited activity on premise
2) Disguise with intent
3) Unauthorized possession of a restricted or prohibited weapon
4) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
5) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
6) Possession of a firearm obtained by crime
7) Carry firearm or ammunition carelessly
8) Carry concealed weapon
9) Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm


A 15-year-old boy, of Toronto, was charged with:

1) Engage in prohibited activity on premise
2) Possession of an imitation weapon
3) Disguise with intent
4) Carry concealed weapon
5) Possession of a schedule II substance (marijuana)

They are scheduled to appear in court at 311 Jarvis Street, on Tuesday March 27, 2018, 9 a.m., room #1.

They cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
