Missing Girl Located,
Two woman charged

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an ongoing investigation into a missing, now located, six-year-old girl.

It is alleged that:

- on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at 7:41 a.m., a six-year-old girl was reported missing from the area of Midland Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East

- officers from across the Service were brought in to assist with the search

- at 12:52 p.m., the girl was located in the area of Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street

The investigation has continued and two women have been arrested.

One woman has been charged with Public Mischief. She is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall at a later date.

Another woman has been charged with Obstruct Peace Officer. She is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East at a later date.

By law, police must protect the privacy of the child and will not be releasing the names of the two women. The investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 416-808-4104
