Man, 22, faces seven charges in shooting investigation,
Bloor Street West and Royal York Road area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a shooting investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, April 13, 2018, the accused met a man, 21, in the Bloor Street West and Royal York Road area

- an argument ensued that resulted in the accused shooting the 21-year-old man multiple times

- the 21-year-old man was rushed to hospital where he remains in life-threatening condition

- the accused was arrested several hours later

- several search warrants were executed that resulted in the seizure of five firearms and numerous rounds of ammunition

It is further alleged that the following weapons were seized:

1) Glock 19 9mm handgun
2) CZ Scorpion Evo 3 S1 9mm Submachine Gun
3) Blue Line Solutions .22 calibre sporting rifle
4) Savage Model 64 .22 Calibre Rifle
5) 12 Gauge Shotgun

On Friday, April 13, 2018, Charles Waters, 22, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Attempt Murder
2) Aggravated Assault
3) Discharge Firearm with Intent to Wound
4) Careless Use of a Firearm
5) Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
6) Careless Storage of Fiream
7) Possession of Firearm in Unauthorized place

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, April 14, 2018, 10 a.m., room 101.
