Man and woman arrested in firearm investigation,
Morningside Avenue and Finch Avenue East area,
Search warrant executed,
.32 calibre firearm recovered

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two arrests in a firearm investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, officers from the Area Field Command Investigative Support Unit executed a search warrant in the Morningside Avenue and Finch Avenue East area, and for a vehicle associated to a man believed to be in possession of a firearm

- the search warrant yielded a .32 calibre firearm and over 60 rounds of ammunition

Kadeen Reid, 28, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
2) Possess Prohibited Firearm Without Holding a License and Registration Certificate
3) Possess Prohibited Firearm Knowingly not Holding a License and Registration Certificate
4) Careless Storage of a Firearm
5) Careless Storage of Ammunition
6) two counts of Possess Prohibited Ammunition knowing no Authority
7) Possess Firearm While Prohibited
8) Possess Firearm While Prohibited
9) three counts of Fail to Comply Recognizance


Anna Benedict, 26, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
2) Possess Prohibited Firearm Without Holding a License and Registration Certificate
3) Possess Prohibited Firearm Knowingly not Holding a License and Registration Certificate
4) Careless Storage of a Firearm
5) Careless Storage of Ammunition
6) two counts of Possess Prohibited Ammunition knowing no Authority

Both appeared in court at College Park on Thursday, May 3, 2018.
