Man, 31, charged in investigation into Uttering Threats to
Parking Enforcement Officer,
Edward Street and Yonge Street area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an Assault Peace Officer investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, April 27, 2018, at 3:35 p.m., a Parking Enforcement Officer was issuing parking tickets in the Edward Street and Yonge Street area

- a man, 31, became very aggressive and uttered threats to the Parking Enforcement Officer after the PEO issued a parking ticket to the vehicle he was operating

- police arrived, investigated, and subsequently arrested the man

On Friday, April 27, 2018, Albert Yiiga, 31, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Uttering Threats

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Friday, June 8, 2018, 11 a.m., room 111.
