The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance identifying a man in an investigation into an Assault in the Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 9:05 a.m., a woman, 42, was crossing the street in the Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue area

- she was using her cell phone when she was violently struck on the side of her face, knocking her to the ground

- several people came to her aid

- the suspect ran away northbound on Spadina Avenue, then east on Bulwer Street

The man is described as 5'6", 20-30, medium build, wearing dark-coloured hooded sweatshirt with small orange or red writing on chest and five white stripes on left wrist area, white T-shirt hanging out from the bottom of the sweatshirt, dark-coloured pants, dark shoes.
