The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of traffic restrictions and security enhancements for Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the Rogers Centre.

To ensure the safe flow of pedestrian traffic, including an expected attendance of 43,000 at today's game against the Los Angeles Angels, a number of road restrictions will be in effect in the immediate area surrounding the Rogers Centre.

These restrictions will be in place from 10:30 a.m. until the end of the game.

- controlled access in the immediate area

- accessibility vehicles wanting access to the Rogers Centre should use Rees Street, northbound from Lake Shore Boulevard West, with staging areas at Rees Street and Bremner Boulevard at Gate 7 and Blue Jays Way in front of the Marriott Hotel for Gate 13

- buses wanting access to the Rogers Centre should enter from the east off of Lower Simcoe Street onto Bremner Boulevard

Police, in partnership with the Rogers Centre, are encouraging people
to use public transit or other carpool options.

The public may also notice other security measures in the surrounding area, including an increased police presence and/or the use of other public and private sector resources.

While there is no imminent threat at this time, security issues are closely monitored and changes will be implemented as required.
