Man, 19, charged in Assault on Parking Enforcement Officer,
Near 10 Capreol Court

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an investigation into an Assault on a Parking Enforcement Officer.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 8:25 p.m., a Parking Enforcement Officer was speaking with a person near 10 Capreol Court

- a man, whose vehicle had been ticketed earlier by the Parking Enforcement Officer, accelerated his vehicle in the direction of the PEO

- the officer turned and leaned in to a parked vehicle to avoid being struck

- the accused driver then swerved and drove off, without striking the officer

On Sunday, May 20, 2018, at 1:19 a.m., Abdi Guyere, 19, of Toronto, was arrested. He was charged with;

1) Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday June 12, 2018, 11 a.m., room 111.
