Fatal collision #28/2018,
Lake Shore Boulevard West, east of British Columbia Road

On Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 7:04 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Lake Shore Boulevard West, east of British Columbia Road.

It is reported that:

- a woman, 58, was driving a Ford Escape westbound on Lake Shore Boulevard West, approaching British Columbia Road

- for reasons not yet determined, the Ford Escape crossed into the eastbound lanes of Lake Shore Boulevard West

- the Ford Escape then struck an eastbound Toyota and Acura

- the Acura then struck an eastbound motorcycle

The 50-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle received life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he succumbed to those injuries.

All other occupants of the involved motor vehicles were taken to hospital with various levels of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
