Initial enforcement results

Project Safe Streets is a 32 Division traffic initiative that started on Thursday, May 31, 2018, and continues through until Thursday, June 7, 2018.

The initial enforcement results are as a result of work from 32 Division officers in partnership with Traffic Services Motor Squad officers from Thursday, May 31 2018, to Sunday June 3, 2018. A total of 143 offence notices were served on drivers ranging from not wearing seat belts, document and equipment offences and the following more specific offences:
- Racing: 2
- Stunt Driving: 1
- Speeding: 34
- Failing to Stop for Red Light: 12
- Excessive Noise: 10
- Driving while using Hand Held Device: 9
- Unsafe Lane Changes: 3
- Fail to Yield to Pedestrian: 2
- Careless Driving
- Operate Motor Vehicle without Insurance: 2
Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists: please be alert and obey all traffic laws for your safety and others. The traffic initiative continues until Thursday, June 7, 2018.
