On Friday, June 8, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., at Ryerson University, Toronto Chief of Police Mark Saunders will launch the first-ever Toronto Police Service hackathon, #HackTPS, in Ryerson’s DMZ.
Over the course of 48 hours, 150 developers, designers and innovators will be challenged to use technology to enhance real-time data and information sharing to enhance community safety in our city. Engaging the communities is an important element in the Toronto Police Service’s continued efforts to keep Toronto the safest city in North America.
Participants will be competing to win $10,000 and the opportunity to turn their innovative community safety ideas into a reality with TPS and DMZ.
