On Sunday, June 11, at 3 p.m., at Ryerson University, Mayor John Tory, will help announce the winners of the first ever Toronto Police Service hackathon, #HackTPS, in Ryerson’s DMZ.
After 48 hours of creating information sharing technology to help enhance community safety in Toronto, 150 developers, designers and innovators will wait to hear whether their innovation will win them $10,000 and the chance to turn their idea into an app with the support of TPS. Engaging the communities is an important element in the Toronto Police Service’s continued efforts to keep Toronto the safest city in North America.
