On Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at 6 p.m., at the Wigwamen Residence , 20 Sewells Road, Deputy Chief Peter Yuen will host a community conversation on the Neighbourhood Officer Program. Called Build The Block T.O., the Toronto Police Service is asking the public to share its thoughts on neighbourhood policing.

The location had been previously released as the Malvern Community Centre.

After a presentation by Deputy Chief Yuen, members of the community will know why their neighbourhood was chosen for this new program and what they can expect in the coming months.

Attendees will then be asked key questions that will help inform how the officers are selected, what training they should have and how best they can serve the public going forward as the Toronto Police Service looks to create an enhanced Neighbourhood Officer program.

The conversation will also be available on social media and can be followed via #BuildTheBlockTO on Twitter.

The meeting will be livestreamed on Facebook:
