On Sunday, July 1, 2018, City of Toronto Parks and Recreation, Scarborough District, will be hosting their annual Scarborough Canada Day Parade. The parade will consist of more than 50 floats, 20 bands and approximately 2,200 participants.

Road closures:

11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Brimley Road, Progress Avenue to Ellesmere Road
- Omni Drive, Brimley Road to Borough Drive

4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Brimley Road, Ellesmere Road to Lawrence Avenue East

Parade Route: (starts 4 p.m.)

Formation Area: Brimley Road, Progress Avenue to Ellesmere Road

- southbound Brimley Road - Full Road

Dispersal Area: Brimley Road, north of Lawrence Avenue East at Thomson Memorial park

The TTC may experience some minor delays. The Brimley #21 and the York Mills #95 buses will be diverted from the parade route.

Motorists are advised to consider the road closures when planning their travels.

The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
