Parking Enforcement Officer Assaulted,
Man arrested and charged,
Thorncliffe Park Drive and Overlea Boulevard

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, June 15, 2018, at approximately 8:20 p.m., a Parking Enforcement Officer was enforcing bylaws on a property in the area of Thorncliffe Park Drive and Overlea Boulevard

- a man became very irate when he was unable to leave the parking lot due to an illegally parked vehicle being towed by the Parking Enforcement Officer

- the officer approached the man and asked him to use a different exit of the lot

- when returning to the vehicle being towed, the man sped towards the officer and stopped sharply a few inches away from him

- the man reversed his vehicle and then left the area

On Friday, June 15, 2018, Nasir Noori, 32, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon
2. Dangerous Operation Motor Vehicle

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 2 pm, in Room C505.
