Three men arrested,
Avenue Road and Macpherson Avenue area,
Firearm seized

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an investigation in which three men have been arrested and a loaded firearm seized.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at 3:30 a.m., in the Macpherson Avenue and Avenue Road area, officers conducted a vehicle stop for a speeding motor vehicle, and entered into a roadside investigation

- a loaded Ruger handgun was located in the vehicle

Zubair Qureshi, 22; Mustafa Ahmed 21; and Ayoub Bahri, 22, all of Toronto, were arrested. They are each charged with:

1) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
2) Careless Storage of Firearm
3) Carrying Concealed Weapon
4) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
5) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
6) Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm
7) Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime
8) two counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance

They are scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Friday, June 29, 2018, 10 a.m.
