The Toronto Police Service will be hosting its 27th Annual Toronto Caribbean Carnival Kick-Off Celebration on Friday, July 27, 2018, at 11 a.m., at police headquarters. This year’s theme is “Caribbean Wave."
The Toronto Caribbean Carnival event celebrates the cultural heritage of people from the Caribbean and the spirit they contribute to Canadian culture. The Service, in partnership with community and corporate partners, including The Children's Breakfast Club, have been participating in this event since 1991. This participation will include a float in the Toronto Caribbean Carnival Parade, as well as celebrations at the local Divisions.
Numerous dignitaries and community members will join Toronto Police Services Board member Ken Jeffers and Chief Mark Saunders at the celebration. This event will also feature entertainment followed by an informal reception.
